About me

Iro StefopoulouI’m Iro Stefopoulou from Trikala, Greece and I’ve been an English teacher since 2011. I have graduated from the English School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I hold an MA degree in education from King’s College London, UK. Plus, I am a PhD canditate in the Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Philosophy and Pedagogy.

I speak Greek, English, French, Italian and Spanish and I am a Cambridge International Examiner for the University of Cambridge. I have been teaching English since 2011 and I want all my students to have equal opportunities in education and use the English language confidently.

I am honored to be one of the Skype Master Teachers of the world and a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.

Moreover, I have participated and organised several European Youth Programmes like Erasmus + . Through my teaching I try  to make an impact on my  students and my goal as a teacher is to make learning fun and meaningful by using all available technological educational tools.

My ambition is my students to develop all the necessary 21st century skills in order to keep abreast of everything they will encounter in their educational, professional and personal lives.

My professional interests include materials creation and helping a student develop as a person not just as a language learner.

This blog is used from me only to support and reinforce my classroom work, since it is impossible to replace face-to-face communication between teachers and students.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Fondly,

Iro
